The Access Ostase assay is a paramagnetic particle, chemiluminescent immunoassay for use with the Access Immunoassay Systems for the quantitative measurement of bone alkaline phosphatase (BAP), an indicator of osteoblastic activity, in human serum and plasma.
Assay Features | • Independence from timed sample collection as Ostase levels are not affected by circadian variation • Suitability to monitoring of patients with kidney disease as results are unaffected by renal status due to clearance occurring in the liver • Confidence that a 25% change may be attributed to a change in the clinical status of the patient |
