The Immunalysis 6-Acetylmorphine Urine Enzyme Immunoassay is a homogenous enzyme immunoassay with a cutoff of 10ng/mL. The assay is intended for use in laboratories for the qualitative analysis of 6-Acetylmorphine in human urine with automated clinical chemistry analyzers. The Immunalysis 6-Acetylmorphine Urine Enzyme Immunoassay Kit is a sensitive in-vitro test to detect the presence of 6-Acetylmorphine (6-AM) in human urinesamples. Heroin rapidly deacetylates in the body to 6-AM. It is concluded that the presence of 6-AM in urine can be interpreted with confidence to mean that heroin was administered within 24 hours of specimen collection and that the presence of 6-AM in urine is not caused by morphine or codeine administration.(1) The 6-AM cutoff of 10 ng/mL is in concordance with SAMHSA guidelines
